Dr Mario Alessandri Bonetti graduated with honours in Medicine and Surgery from the Università Campus Bio-Medico in Rome, and obtained his specialisation in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery with honours from the Università degli Studi di Milano.
He passed the USMLE — the United States Medical Licensing Examination — and continued his training with a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Reconstructive Plastic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh (USA), one of the world’s leading centres in the field.

The ideal candidate is a healthy adult with realistic expectations and authentic, personal motivation. It is not necessary to have “obvious flaws”; many patients simply seek enhancement. A full assessment is always conducted during the initial consultation.
Most injectable treatments are well-tolerated. Where necessary, a topical anesthetic cream is applied 20–25 minutes before the procedure. To ensure maximum comfort, every case is evaluated individually.
Yes. The main ones include pregnancy, breastfeeding, active autoimmune diseases, allergies to specific product components, and certain ongoing pharmacological therapies. There are also temporary contraindications, such as active skin infections in the treatment area. For this reason, a preliminary consultation is essential: no treatment is performed without a full medical evaluation.
Most treatments require no downtime. A small, localized bruise at the injection site is possible. Depending on its depth, a chemical peel may cause a few days of redness and flaking. In all cases, the doctor provides precise instructions on what to expect and how to manage the aftercare.

There is no single answer—it depends on the treatment, the area, and individual response. Mi sono laureato con lode in Medicina e Chirurgia presso l’Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma e ho conseguito con lode la Specializzazione in Chirurgia Plastica Ricostruttiva ed Estetica presso l’Università degli Studi di Milano.
La mia formazione si è poi arricchita attraverso esperienze internazionali. Ho completato una Fellowship in Reconstructive Plastic Surgery presso la University of Pittsburgh e ho approfondito la chirurgia dell’emicrania presso Lyndhurst, Ohio, a fianco del Prof. Guyuron, scopritore delle tecniche oggi più utilizzate nel settore. Ho perfezionato le conoscenze di chirurgia estetica presso l’Ocean Clinic di Marbella e la Careaga Plastic Surgery di Miami. La chirurgia estetica e funzionale della piramide nasale l’ho invece approfondita con il Prof. Robotti, tra i massimi esperti mondiali in questo campo.
Sono ECFMG-Certified, membro della prestigiosa Società EURAPS (European Association of Plastic Surgeons) e della SICPRE (Società Italiana di Chirurgia Plastica Ricostruttiva ed Estetica). Lavoro come Dirigente Medico presso l’UOC di Chirurgia Plastica Ricostruttiva ed Estetica dell’IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi Sant’Ambrogio di Milano.

Perché per me la bellezza è proporzione: un codice universale e accessibile a tutti, che permette di leggere il libro del mondo.
Fuori dalla sala operatoria
Le mie due grandi passioni sono la pesca e il calcio. Della pesca amo la pazienza, la concentrazione, il silenzio. Del calcio amo l’energia, il lavoro di squadra, la creatività. Due mondi quasi opposti che mi appartengono entrambi.

Sono autore di oltre 100 pubblicazioni scientifiche in chirurgia plastica e medicina estetica e ho partecipato come relatore a numerosi congressi nazionali e internazionali.
